Dr. La Tina Epps Thomas is a Naturopathic Doctor, Experienced Certified Yoga Instructor and a Health and Wellness Counselor who thrives on using her skills to help support bodies to heal, while also bringing balance and connectivity to lives.
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Dr. La Tina continued her educational pursuits to earn the designation of Doctor of Naturopathy from the Trinity School of Natural Health in Warsaw, Indiana. Dr. La Tina has also earned the title of "200hr Certified Yoga Instructor” and has been practicing the art of yoga while teaching Stress Management and Healthy Living for more than twelve years.
Dr. La Tina has written articles for various natural/alternative magazines, including a monthly segment for Southern Soul Magazine. She provided her expertise as part of a University of Memphis 8-week yoga program for its football program, which was featured in ESPN magazine. Dr. La Tina has garnered acclaim for her success in helping numerous athletes and clients achieve their fitness goals through yoga and healthy lifestyle changes. Her penchant for yoga and natural health and wellness has also made Dr. La Tina a highly sought after instructor and speaker by major companies including International Paper, the American Heart Association, Cigna, City of Memphis, and MLG&W, to name a few. She has guest lectured at the University of Tennessee Medical School and Northwest Mississippi Community College.
Dr. La Tina’s passion to help others through yoga and healthy lifestyle changes stems from her own struggle with an eating disorder. As a teenager, she fought a long battle with anorexia/bulimia. She won by changing her mindset about food and incorporating the healing benefits of exercise. As an adult she was diagnosed with Asthma, Allergies, IBS, Hashimotos Thyroditist, and Hypothyrodism. After going through many doctors and not getting better, Dr. La Tina realized there had to be a better way. That led her on a path to discovering the multidimensional powers of yoga and naturopathy, which put her on a path to better health and healing for herself and countless others.
When not practicing yoga or making herbal concoctions, Dr. La Tina enjoys traveling the world with her husband and relaxing with her two fur babies “Kitty” and “Max.”
